Professor Yunus, banker to the poor, social entrepreneur, and Nobel Peace Laureate is globally recognized for his revolutionary practices that foster solidarity in finance and business and for his questioning of our current economic capitalist system. His innovative works have and are inspiring millions around the world to imagine their own potential. His visionary ideas serve to create a new toolbox, that anyone can apply, for solving some of the world’s most pressing problems.
The documentary takes the audience on the journey undertaken by filmmakers, Áine and Michel, to shed light on the works of this new type of business. Purposely designed to address social and environmental problems with entrepreneurs who joyfully aim for impact over profit maximization.
Featuring, across continents, a range of independent models active in, restoration and reforestation, measuring and increasing biodiversity with bees, reducing and upcycling plastic, food, and textile waste, providing training and job opportunities and offering access to health and financial services for all.
